A Really Divisive Series

The bar was set pretty high from the beginning with Yasuko Kobayashi being hired as the head writer, as she had just come off Go-busters the year prior, which was a fantastic season. And her other works for the franchise (eg. Timeranger, Shinkenger) are not too shabby either.

If i can think of one super sentai that knows it's target audience well but doesn't dumb down it's material to only fit the target audience and still remain humorous and enjoyable to a grown adult super sentai fan (like myself) I would go with Ressha Sentai ToQGer. the main strengths of the series i feel were the characters and their development as characters for example i loved how akira was... read more

Description: Five young people travel on the Rainbow Line. But they have several problems: they'll often arrive at a station only to find it's been taken over by the evil Shadow Line, they can't remember anything beyond their childhoods, and there are lost trains (Resshas) that need to be found. ... Super Sentai I Finished In Order (3 tv items)

"Was a Pretty fun show. I enjoyed the laid back nature of the plot. I found the villains to be the most enjoyable characters both in design and plot. I felt the show was a bit childish but that tone does make more sense the further you get in."

Counting Down the Best of Yasuko Kobayashi (13 tv items)

"Head Writer (36/47 Episodes) Producers: Hajime Sasaki, Takaaki Utsunomiya, Kei Ishikawa, Koichi Yada, Akihiro Fukada ToQGer felt very much like Kobayashi was on autopilot and not reining in her other writers. While she did write quite a bit, it's almost as if all of the writers did not actually watch each other's episodes and just wrote whatever they wanted. While not a bad series, it's also easily her weakest work from what I've seen."

10 Worst Female Ranger Friendship Episodes (10 tv items)

"Ep. 30 - The Birthday Celebration (Kagura & Mio) Written by: Akatsuki Yamatoya Head Writer: Yasuko Kobayashi Plot? Kagura remembers that it's Mio's birthday and puts together a surprise party and secretly bakes her a cake. Why is it Bad? While a perfectly serviceable story, I am putting it on this list for the sole reason of Kagura finally gets to use the power up but has to literally share the armor with Mio. And neither of them ever get to use the power up again."

and that finale  was a perfect way to end the series  (they were epic)

Best episode: I can't decide most of them except the ones i picked as my worst are really good

Worst episode: Station 38: let's make a movie
