Only minutes in to the new Dexter mini-series on Showtime and we see some immediate indications that this is a 2021 production: Native American female police chief, wheelchair-bound double amputee co-worker at PD, openly gay boss at the store where Dexter works... Still, it's good to have the serial killer you can root for back in our living rooms.

It took a while to adjust to the new setting and having Dexter being more normal in his relationships, but the direction of the series remains as tight as ever and Jack Alcott fulfils his role as Dexter's son superbly. I just hope that they find a way to make a second season of the reboot...

" Limited Series This season (or limited series?) is okay, but it feels more like a latter "Dexter" season. Not so witty, surprising, or entertaining. The quality of the production is up there and the overall story is worthy... but there was no good reason to keep Deb in the picture, too much of her. Dexter's son is annoying and seems like a weak idea to make him such a prominent figure... and then there is the final episode. Spoiler: It will likely upset most viewers, no matter how inve"
