Kidding. This thread is totally useless as a conversion tool and frankly, none of you are going to convince anyone of anything, so you might as well give up.

rb6k's posts are pretty valuable since they expose the artistic deviation of the Bible's transcription, something largely unquestioned by the general Christian population.

This thread's contributed in changing my views, actually. I've been rather atheist for the past year but since reading these posts, contemplating in isolation, and listening primarily to Ænima by Tool and Nine Inch Nails's more recent material - including their latest album, released for free on the official Nine Inch Nails website - I've decided I'm agnostic instead.

Also...

Life isn't about thinking, it's purely about surviving. Most of the life on earth is geared solely around surviving and doesn't stop to think about it for a second. Look at insects colonies for example. They don't think about the best course of action to take, they are just propelled by instincts that will find them food, shelter and a place to lay eggs or whatnot. That leads to the question of 'What is the point of surviving, just for survivals sake?' there is no end to it. There is no meaning of life if you just want to be there, existing.

The trouble now is Wolfie, what do ya do when you realize that there is no *meaning* to life and that everything is surviving for survivals sake?! Do ya survive, have a kid and further your species like your supposed to, not do it and end your blood line, or is there something more to it all?

These two posts put me back on fluoxetine!

This thread is not an argument it is a discussion, it is not meant to change peoples views but it IS enlightening and we are talking about things others may not be aware of, and basically having a very interesting debate. This has so far been one of the most interesting threads Listal has produced and ironically it has nothing to do with the topic of the site!

true...i just dont understand how they changed the words from the Bible?....those words were direct words from our Lord and now it has been changed by a mere human....
It is a sin for someone to change a single word from our Holy Book of Qur'an.
