What is everyone's religion/non religion?(NO Arguments plz)

I'm just a human being living on earth.

I'm a Lutheran Christian (a division of Protestantism), even though after having pneunomia etc., I don't really believe in God anymore. I have seriously thought of becoming an agnostic.

A bout of pneumonia made you quit believing in "God"?

Taoist jk. Is there a vegetarian religion?

Yes, I worship the great Lousy(poor trans.?). Seriously is there a vegetarian religion?
If god wanted something wouldn't we all know it without any debate.
Are there any obvious and 'secular' benefits of religion?
How do religions explain and deal with other religions? Do they all imply the rest are wrong regarding all of the differences?

I have no religion; religion was created to explain certain things and to comfort those who need answers but truthfully, there are some things we will simply never know, get used to it.

Agnostic

I believe that religion is only a way of holding people down, not allowing them to reach their full potential by imposing so many rules upon them. I personally strive to make my life a unique creation, which should satisfy me on both a material and a spiritual level, regardless of my particular religion (I'm Christian). I have had my doubts about the (non)existence of God and am still not sure what to think on that subject, but I suppose that one cannot think his/her way to God. If God is love, then one can only feel Him,sense Him (or Her),and so have proof of his existence, which makes belief redundant.

true religion has nothing to do with belief or proof

Actually religion is all about belief. Taking their magic answers on faith with zero proof.
It's basically a get out of jail free card for those who don't want to think about things too hard.
E.G "How did we get here?"
Their answer "Magic man made everything and us now stop asking questions."
Scientists answer. "Evolution, after the big bang. (Usually followed by a detailed explanation which actually makes more sense than magic man did it.)"

religion is something that shows us the right part .. it gives a new meaning to our life .. its something that we can depend upon .. religion really doesn't mean that we have to believe in God .. i believe that god is our conscious .. something that helps us choose between right n wrong ...

I'm an agnostic and an existentialist. Religion may be a way to explain things we don't understand - but so is science, we can never be sure about anything except our own, subjective existence.

I'm a Baptist Christian, but to each his/her own. Yes, I may try to influence you towards Christianity just going about my everyday life, but I'm not going to beat a Bible over your head, because in my experience, that does at least 517% more harm than good. I've got atheist, Buddhist, Mormom, and Witness friends, and yes, I would like to meet some of them in my perceived afterlife. But I'm not going to force my beliefs on them just so I can feel a sense of accomplishment. That brings about a phrase, "I have my parent's religion". It basically means that if I force Jesus onto you and you just play along, you aren't really doing any good for yourself. I'd rather just leave someone alone then create a false believer out of them.

Religion-
every one has a different way they like to worship. And that's how I would define it. Catholics worship very old-fashioned-like. Methodists worship similarly but with modern music etc. Church of Christ does not use music at all because it does not specifically say in the bible that you can.
Here's my thought. Religion is the way you prefer to worship, or what you are worshiping.
And I my opinion is this: If you don't believe in anything that's beyond this world...then that is not a religion. It simply means that you are not religious.
So you are religious. Or you are not.

Atheist!

Protestant - more specifically, Baptist. I believe that trials are given to us to mature and grow us into something better. Admittedly, trials wouldn't be present were it not for Satan, but them's the breaks. I also don't believe thinking constantly about heaven and eternity is escapist... If anything, NOT thinking about such things and focusing on material gain and whatnot is an escape from what's truly important. But I still believe we shouldn't shirk our responsibilities to society based on this reasoning.

I see religion as a way of controlling the masses. Anything that forces people to think, act and feel a certain way is not a positive thing. The main religions oppress women, homosexuals, people of other faith they're all just excuses to be vile to certain people whilst pretending you are doing it for God.
No religions pay taxes, they actually get paid money by the British goverment.
Question:
Which two nations still reserve places in their parliaments for unelected religious clerics, who then get an automatic say in writing the laws the country's citizens must obey?
The answer is Iran and Britain. Disgraceful! I don't want these brainwashed morons having a say in what I can and cannot do! Its obvious not to kill, steal, or generally shit on people. Beyond that I think the government is capable enough of deciding whats right and wrong without a bishop involved!
Religion is probably one of the greatest evils mankind has ever created. What happened to just chilling the fuck out and leaving everyone to do what they want? You don't need religion to be a good person, but plenty of people use religion as a chance to be a paedophile or to kill people, abusing power they have no right to hold.
I also consider it a show of naivety, possibly even a show of how unintelligent people can be. Ok so some of the worlds greatest scientists may also belong to certain faiths, I am not saying that "people who follow religion are dumb" but it suggests to me that those people are quite happy to be spoon fed answers, they have been raised to believe a set string of beliefs and don't seem to see how ludicrous and impossible those beliefs might actually be.
People believe evolution is false. They believe the world was created 6000 years ago. Theres all sorts of insane bollocks like that which people genuinely believe and when you point them to the evidence they say evidence is not proof! Then they argue that they don't need proof for their beliefs because they have faith! Make your mind up, a clever person would go down the path with the most evidence, not the path that depends on a book to tell you "you don't need evidence, its all in this book!"
I wish I lived in a world where religion did not exist. Its not that I don't believe in a higher being/power - I don't know if there is one. But religions are so fake, so full of lies, such a lot of horse shit!!! That I can't believe the world is so full of people ready to eat it up like its fool proof and air tight.
People might as well believe in Father Christmas, there is more evidence that he exists than there is for religion.

I was Baptised a Roman Catholic as a child, though I consider myself to be an Atheist.

I'm supposed to be catholic. But my family is not very religious. I'm not even sure if we own a Bible. But I do not call myself an atheist. I believe in something...Of course, one would say I'm an agnostic.
(Though these two labels...Well, agnostics do not follow any specific rules like religous people, so their actions are not limited and therefore their life is pretty much the same as atheists'.)Anyway, such beliefs are very personal to me. And I do not like simplifying religious acts, religions themselves.
I doubt it's possible that I'd become a "purist" one day.
I'd like to deepen my knowledge of christianity and paganism as I'm getting more and more interested in my country's history and culture.

I plan to convert to Judaism so that I can marry a Jewish man. I know they do not like to marry outside of their religion, which is why I plan on dedicating a couple of years of my life to conversion so that I can finally be united with my Jewish soul mate.
When Marilyn Monroe married Arthur Miller, she had to convert to Judaism in order to marry him because he is Jewish.
When Isla Fisher married Sacha Baron Cohen, she had to convert to Judaism in order to marry him.
I will follow their lead. They are two upstanding ladies.

Born and raised post-Vatican II Catholic. I was taught God spoke first to the Jews, Jesus was Jewish and the basis of Christianity is the Jewish relationship with God. I don't buy "intelligent design," but I believe God started the process we know as "Darwinism." That said, I believe one's religious belief (or a lack thereof) is a personal matter. I used to respect everyone and anyone's belief systems, so long as they didn't mock mine or try to convert me to their ways. Then 9/11 came and it took me a long time to reconsider. I've known many Muslims in my day who wouldn't hurt a fly, who admired Jesus as a prophet and Mary, the Virgin Mother as a venerated woman; to them Israel is a holy place and Jews follow more of God (Allah)'s prophets. They were probably sickened to think the blood of 2300 people brought salvation to 20 crazed souls. Wars aren't started by God (in whichever for He takes), nor over religion; they're started by people who use religion as an excuse to justify their own personal agendas.
That's my 2 cents.
That's my 2 cents.

Atheist. But I plan on buying the Prometheus on Blu-ray and polishing up on Space Jesus theory.

Seriously, though, I'm an athiest. I don't begrudge anyone for having religious beliefs (unless it's something silly like Mormonism), but I myself can't buy into the concept of a god. Though, the whole concept of a higher power is so abstract that it's kind of pointless to use humann logic to argue against the validity of it

I'm a Humanist and an atheist. Taoism is inspiring, but I don't follow it religiously. As long as someone's not using their religion to justify being inhumane towards people, I'm fine with it (not that people need religion to be good or bad).

Part-time tentative Spinozist, part-time tentative atheist

I'm Christian. What denomination is a little more complicated. Broadly I'm a Methodist. Specifically I'm a Congregational Wesleyan Methodist.

I'm a faithless heathen atheist. I mean c'mon, we're all just a highly evolved species of ape walking around on a big rock that's floating around in outer space, so why should we lie to ourselves and pretend that we're anything more than what we are? We're biological organisms, like plants, insects, animals, and cells; we live and breed and survive and die, and that's that. Of course, everyone is free to believe in what they want to, but there are some beliefs that just make no sense at all :P

My own answer would be a question: what do you exactly mean by "religion"?
The Merriam-Webster online dictionary lists at least four meanings.
I am not into the worship of supernatural beings, but I might have "a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith". Not blind faith, though.

I guess I'm Agnostic, because I think, when it comes to deities, there's no way of knowing for sure. I steer clear of most religions because I have absolutely no conviction that religious texts should be followed. They're part of the reason religion can be so awful.
But I do think unexplainable things happen all the time- some things like spirits, ghosts, miracles, that all seems probable to me in some way or another. Even things we know for sure through science are really amazing- plants get nutrients from sunlight! Some insects can freeze solid overnight and thaw completely alive the next day! There's a supergiant object just outside of our visible universe and we have no idea what it is! We already accept so many amazing things as true. I'm not quite at Fox Mulder level paranoia but I want to believe. :)

Anyone remember the old board game called Chutes and Ladders? Not a terrible religious text, actually.
