Uncut Gems update feed
"Re-watch - Jan. 18th On one hand I probably should've waited longer to revisit Uncut Gems because the suspense/tension levels weren't at the same place as my first viewing. That's the downside to knowing what's coming. On the other hand I found a lot of other things to better appreciate the second time around and it's safe to say I loved it even more as a result. It just might be my favorite film of 2019, but it's only got a slight edge over Parasite."

"Alright, let's break this down. You probably know what this movie is and you'll either know it as a stress-inducing running amok in the style of a certain Herr R. or as a very dark comedy about bad people trying to get something done and consistently failing. As it stands, for me, it didn't really function as either. As such, I didn't really like it, because let's face it, those two ways are the things Uncut Gems is definitely going for through-and-through, and when you strip those you're left "

"First viewing - Dec. 26th Uncut Gems is one of the most visceral movie experiences I've ever had, and I'm seriously considering taking the ride again before it leaves theatres. Adam Sandler delivers arguably his best performance ever and it took me some time to unwind from the experience after it ended. I can't recommend it highly enough."
" Note: This movie was fantastic from start to finish. I havenât been on the edge of my seat through a majority of a movie since Nightcrawler (2014). This movie is over 2 hours and not a single moment was boring. The acting was great and the characters are very well done. I also love the cinematography because it almost has a film stock feel to it. Not to mention, the music in this movie is also awesome."
