“Since I have seen pretty much all the movies directed by Steven Spielberg (Right now, I'm missing only 'Ready Player One' which I should watch in a couple of months) and since this movie was fairly well received, I was really eager to check it out. First of all, I must admit that, since it was about 'The Washington Post' during the 70's, I thought it would be about the Watergate but it was in fact about another story preceeding this other scandal and, in fact, this movie was pretty much a sequel to 'All the President's Men', especially with its end scene. "Steven Spielberg's The Post is brilliant at direction, acting and knowing the events of the newspapers for publish the events of the war of Vietnam "

It’s a valiant argument for the validity and necessity of the free press, but The Post feels rushed and like a second draft pushed through to the finish line in order to make a political point during a chaotic time. It’s not as if The Post doesn’t speak directly to our time in which the current political administration is all but declaring war on the press at every turn, but that this is a film that too often bluntly hammers its points ” read more

" 8 - I loved the message of this film and the way it is directed. Streep and Hanks make an exquisite combo and all the acting involved it's on point. The music and photography are on the same level as the rest. "
"01/28/18 Directed by: Steven Spielberg I think there is an interesting story in there somewhere but boy did it not make for an interesting film. There are points that are clearly supposed to be somewhat tense and it just isn't because its not paced well enough. Also the film looks like garbo with everything looking glossy to the point where shots almost look CG and there was a handful of pro-feminist moments that really had no business being there. That being said, I didn't find it thaaat offe"
