Even though this movie apparently didn't get much love from the critics, since I always had a weak spot for François Ozon's work, I was still quite eager to check it out. Well, in my opinion, it actually turned out to be one of his best movies after all. “Even though this movie apparently didn't get much love from the critics, since I always had a weak spot for François Ozon's work, I was still quite eager to check it out. Well, in my opinion, it actually turned out to be one of his best movies after all. Indeed, I really liked the way they dealt with the cross-dressing subject and Romain Duris, already for many years one of the best French actors, gave here such a strong performance. Thanks to him, Virginia really came to life as a convincing character, as a believable woman, and it is understandable that the main character became so confused. Unfortunately, that was also the main issue with this flick. I won't blame Anaïs Demoustier who was also pretty good but it was rather hard to root for her character as she kept changing her mind e” read more
