"This is the remake of Hitchcock's 1927 movie which takes place in London during the murderous reign of Jack The Ripper. An unusual man rents a couple of rooms in an affluent household with the landlady beginning to suspect he might be the Whitechapel murderer. I loved this tense and atmospheric movie and it ticks all the right boxes of how Victorian London should be portrayed during the time of the Ripper - fogbound, dark alleys and women fearing for their lives that they could be the next vic"
