Straight Outta Compton is sprawling to the point where it begins to feel like its sputtering to the finish line. Initial Thought: I didn't know much about N.W.A. to be honest. I only knew about the three main members. I didn't even know who MC Ren or DJ Yella were. All I know is the trailer was awesome and the I was familiar with a few songs of theirs. So when it came to my theater I set out for it immediately.

Since this movie turned out to be quite successful at the box-office, I was quite eager to check it out. Well, first of all, I thought that the opening scenes were really strong. " Date: 2/12/2021 Viewed: Amazon Prime (Rental) First Viewing Note: Better late than never, I finally sat down and watched this movie. I did want to see it when it was in theaters because I did grew up listing to Ice Cube, and other 80s and 90s hip hop & rap music. However, I never had the chance to see it when it was released in 2015. After watching this movie for the first time, I really enjoy it. Straight Outta Compton is a solid biopic movie in my opinion.
