Since I’m a big fan of Gus van Sant, I was quite eager to check this flick. Indeed, even though his most recent movies have all been rather disappointing (‘The Sea of Trees’, ‘Promised Land’, ‘Restless’), I still think that Gus Van Sant is a very interesting director. There's a natural innocence in the boy's look, a dazed and poetic and reflexive (he writes a letter) wandering; a guilty accident, with a man chopped in two (great image just once) ad subtle comments on social struggle erased in the cruves of Paranoid Park. " Cast : Taylor Momsen What was it about? A teenage skateboarder's life begins to fray after he is involved in the accidental death of a security guard. My two cents: I have noticed that Van Sant usually alternates between mainstream and more experimental projects and this flick definitely belonged to the second group.
