Description:
The "lawsuit of the century" is underway between Zoltán Kárpáthy, now an adult young man, and Abellino, for the possession of the Kárpáthies' fortune; Abellino sells his right to lawsuit to Kőcserepy, whose daughter was rescued by Zoltán during the big flood in Pest. Vilma, who suffers from a lung disease, falls in love with Zoltán, but he remains faithful to Szentirmay Katinka, his guardian's daughter. During the lawsuit, Abellino comes up with his principal argument, which is to say that Zoltán's father is Szentirmay, not János Kárpáthy.
