I wasn't really sure what to expect from this movie but since I have been become lately fascinated by Léa Seydoux, I thought I might as well check it out. “I wasn't really sure what to expect from this movie but since I have been become lately fascinated by Léa Seydoux, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, to be honest, I ended up with some mixed feelings towards the damned thing. Indeed, on one hand, it was sometimes pretty much a spellbinding thriller dealing with the fall of the French monarchy from a very specific point of view, the point of view of one of the Queen's servants. On the other hand, I didn't care much about this (apparently) platonic lesbian love triangle involving this servant, the Queen and a duchess who might have been the Queen's lover. By the way, it was really neat to see again Virginie Ledoyen after all these years but even though she was still gorgeous, I'm afraid she might have been slightly too old to pla” read more
