"The first film was so fresh. Dudley Moore, Sir John Gielgud, and Liza Minelli. "
" VHS- 1hr. 37min. First Viewing Arthur is a mostly funny, often soulful comedy. It can become grating at times, thanks to the lead character, but that's mostly just the surface. Like the title character, there's more here than you see at first. Dudley Moore really nails the character here, capturing the humor and loneliness of his character, and the affectionate bond he shares with his butler Hobson, a strong John Gielgud, feels genuine. The story isn't particularly original, but it's got enough"

"June 2 "You're a hooker? Jesus, I forgot! I just thought I was doing GREAT with you!" This was a pretty funny movie for the most part. I loved Dudley Moore's one-liners and I did enjoy the title character, but after the first 30 minutes it's not AS funny. Also the story isn't very original either, but I still enjoyed this movie and it still has it's moments after the first 30 minutes. I just wished it was a little more consistent when it comes to laughs."
