"When: March 1st First-Time Viewing: Yes. How: In theaters. What'd I Think?: Beautiful looking, but bizarre, oddly predictable and overlong. My Rating: 6/10 Other Notes: NA."
" The trailer for this has me highly intrigued. Let's hope the story is as impressive as the visuals, as it's tough to get a grasp on what's really going on here."
"Watched 06/25/2017 Rating 6.0/10 Format: Blu Ray It has a good premise but like most Gore Verbinski's movies he just cant connect it well enough for it to make an actual impact. "
" Familiar Actors: Dane DeHaan Jason Isaacs Mia Goth Adrian Schiller Harry Groener and Susanne Wuest True Rating: 10/10 It's crazy to think this was directed by Gore Verbinski who is mostly known for family friendly films like the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films. Justin Haythe also wrote The Lone Ranger with him as well as some other films. I had been wanting to see this for quite some time. It looked insane and I really like the actors Mia Goth, Dane DeHann, and Jason Isaacs. It i"
"The cinematography of this film is gorgeous. The film is quite long, but I enjoyed watching it."
"Right from the first moments the movie grips you in its vice and never lets go. There's a mystery at work here, and I had a lot of fun trying to figure out what was going on as the movie fed me small hints here and there before finally revealing all of its secrets near the end. There's not a whole lot I can say about the movie's plot without giving away too much, but I can say that the plot is excellent and gripping. The story may seem slightly outlandish, but it's grounded by wonderful performa"
" Cast : Dane DeHaan, Jason Isaacs, Mia Goth What was it about? An ambitious young executive is sent to retrieve his company's CEO from an idyllic but mysterious "wellness center" at a remote location in the Swiss Alps, but soon suspects that the spa's treatments are not what they seem. My two cents: Well, from an aesthetic point of view, it was probably Verbinski’s most beautiful movie to look at with some really intriguing scenes and awesome camera set-up. Unfortunately, even though the "
"A beautiful visual style, extreme content, and unconventional, but also confusing, overlong, and surprisingly predictable, this film is a real mixed bag that will, for the most part, be one of those love it or hate it arthouse films. 6.0/10"
"First viewing - Feb. 18th AV Club Review I agree with the review above, for those seeking a more in-depth analysis than I usually provide. This isn't a great film by any means but the visuals are often impressive & I enjoyed it for what it is overall. It's a bit overlong and has occasional uses of CGI that are questionable, but I thought it was worth seeing despite the flaws."
"SCREENING: Regular DATE: February 27th CINEMA: Showcase Cinema de Lux LOCATION: Bluewater"
