Black Books (2000)

I've always heard glowing things about the Britcom, and I'm so glad I finally got into it. After watching one episode with a friend, I immediately ordered the DVD box set and binged my way through. Marvellous!

The IT Crowd (2006)

My friends have always loved this show and recommended it, so I'm glad I finally watched it. It's extremely funny and entertaining, just the kind of Britcom I enjoy watching again & again.

Hannibal (2013)

In just a few short weeks, Hannibal graduated from shaky concept to one of my favourite TV shows of all time. And after watching season 2, it is now the best thing on TV right now, bar none. Thrilling and wholly gripping, with a magnificent cast, I just can't get enough.

After binging my way through the series last year, I of course watched the new season this year, and found it perfectly agreeable. I'll be watching this one all the way through til the end.

I love Karl Pilkington and love An Idiot Abroad, so this was an obvious choice. I bought the DVD set and binged my way through it fairly quickly. Karl is as funny as always. Great series!

Almost Human (2013)

I'm always hesitant about getting into a new TV show, but I got into this one after a mate recommended it and I watched a few clips on YouTube. I found myself begging for a second season, and was heartbroken when it was cancelled. I really enjoyed Almost Human and will continue to enjoy this first season for many years to come.

Generation Kill (2008)

I watched Generation Kill across two weekends in the barracks. It's superb viewing, and its depiction of the military is fucking spot-on. I had to buy the Blu-ray.

I've always loved Joss Whedon, and I didn't even know that this existed until a friend put it on for me. I promptly bought the Blu-ray.

Blackadder Goes Forth (1989)

I don't think I need to say much except, this show rules. I love British comedy and I love the actors here. I was not disappointed.
PvtCaboose91's rating:

I had never even heard of this movie until someone recommended it when I was trying to round up as many war movies as possible. Yeah it shows its budget origins at times, but for the most part it's a great show with superb period detail. Loved it.

One boring Sunday afternoon at the barracks, when there was nothing to do, we put on Chuck because the first season was lying around. After watching three episodes, I could not watch anymore. It's fucking dreadful. I kept falling asleep. It's clearly a McG product, with tone-deaf comedic timing and choppy editing. It's just joyless and boring.

Skins (2007)

Another show I watched because of friends. I bought the box set after viewing a few episodes, and I'm pretty happy with the purchase. First gen is brilliant, second gen is pretty good, and third gen is meh...
