Gran Turismo 5 - PlayStation 3
Firstly to get something out of the way, Gran Turismo 5 is not as good as it's predeccesor in many ways. BUT GT5 is still the best racing game available on ps3 by a long shot. It has enough content to last two lifetimes and fans of the series and newbies will both love GT5.
Red Dead Redemption - PlayStation 3
Red Dead Redemption is another surprise hit on the ps3 that follows the exploits of John Marsden, an ex outlaw charged with bringing in an old friend. The games environment is huge with draw distance as far as the eye can see and ranging from harsh desert to snowy mountain.
Duplicate - PlayStation 3
For those older gamers that complain about how games are too easy these day Demon's Souls is a match made in heaven(or hell). This game is safely the hardest game on the ps3 along with its successor Dark Souls. After beating this game you will feel a sense of achievement that no other game can bring.
Grand Theft Auto IV - PlayStation 3
GTA is gaming royalty. Where GTA3 revolutionised gameplay on the PS2, GTA4 has managed to do all this and more. Telling a compelling story of a man named Nico who has moved to America to live the so called 'American Dream' but finds out that it's not all its cracked up to be.

Assassin's Creed 2 took the franchise to the next level. The original game was okay but AC2 had more varied missions, huge populated cities to explore and an awesomely crafted historical plot set in Florence and Venice during the Renaissance era.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - PlayStation 3

Heavy Rain - PlayStation 3
Quantic Dream's, Heavy Rain is a game that creates new boundaries for what a video game can be. Heavy Rain's complex storyline is very much for adults and was one of the biggest surprise hit games to come to the ps3.
Mass Effect 2 - PlayStation 3
Mass Effect 2 just does everything right from its awesome story and universe(literally) to its addictive gameplay to its character interactions. Mass Effect 2 is a special game that grabs and doesnt let go until the end. I have never met a person who didnt complete this game.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - PlayStation 3
The opening scene says it all, hanging from a train that is slowly falling of a cliff. This game is like playing a Summer blockbuster with well written dialogue, an epic story and fun gameplay.
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Limited Edition)... - PlayStation 3
Hideo Kojima's masterpiece is at times the most frustrating and complex game anyone could ever invent. It is however thoughtful, deep, emotional and in the opinion of many the best PS3 game of all time, a game that will be remembered as an icon of gaming for years to come.
