Morricone's work is always gorgeous and this is no exception.

Troll (1986)
By Richard Band
Definitely not a good movie by any means but the score is decent and this song is a real highlight.

Would be ranked a lot higher if Richard Band hadn't borrowed so much from Bernard Herrmann. It's still hard to deny the coolness of the now classic Re-animator theme.

Giallo films of the 60's and 70's had the most enchanting scores. There is a lot of Bruno Nicolai on this list because I'm completely in love with his work.

Ringu is a very quiet and subdued film but this Jazzy melody is a real highlight.

"The ultimate experience in grueling terror" actually has some fairly lovely melodies in it.

I like this theme and it would be ranked higher if I wasn't so tired of hearing it.

Cannibal Ferox (1981)
By Budy Maglione
From the funky, almost pornorific themes from the opening to the haunting jungle music, I love this one.

Larry Talbot's rating:
By Ennio Morricone
Morricone's score for the thing is very minimal. It's not one that I enjoy listening to very much on its own but it works extremely well in the film. It really gives one that feeling of total isolation. Its really mostly composed of that long, drawn out, mournful two note thing theme. It's very memorable and really gets under your skin.

A list of my favorite Horror film soundtracks. I've decided to only include soundtracks that were specifically written for the films and not ones composed of preexisting music.
