His first movie District 9 really impressed me. His style of directing based on visuals and story really interests me.

I really can't get my eyes off the screen with his excellent camerawork - (No shaky cameras) and how he pays attention to every detail in any scene filmed. I also like some of the score in his movies as well. When I first watched "The Social Network", I noticed the cinematic techniques that were applied to the movie that already made him one of my favorite directors.

Understanding how much hell he went through as an actor (Lots of hate in Pearl Harbor, Armageddon, etc.), I started to respect him a little more when he made Gone Baby Gone (saw part of it) and is a real damn genius with his other movies The Town and Argo.
I'd really like to see him take on a more challenging movie with VFX! (Not the Michael Bay type, but just some VFX)

Hasn't really done much lately, but was impressed with his work in Disturbia, Eagle Eye, I Am Number Four, and Taking Lives.
There were some rumors that he would be directing "Dead Space" (video game adaptation), and boy, who wouldn't love to see that??

This guy is a legend - Gran Torino, American Sniper, Mystic River, and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (He acted in it, I know) are his best movies and I'm willing to check out what else he starred/directed.
MovieCriticGamer's rating:

Does impressive with horror (Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring), but should stick to action as well, being captivated with his direction in Death Sentence and the recently released Furious 7.
You'd see this guy help out with almost every single sci-fi, horror, or action movie possible.
He really had the phenomenal imagination and creativity to make Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Minority Report, Saving Private Ryan, E.T, and War of the Worlds.

Thought he did all right with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake and the same goes for the Friday the 13th remake.
His new movie Exexter has me curious and terrified, and looks like he might get a little better with making horror movies.

He might be overrated (in my opinion), but he is actually damn good with going more into depth of the story and the surprises it delivers rather than the visuals.
Aside from Inception, The Dark Knight movies, and Interstellar, I'd have to say Insomnia is one of his best works.

People give him so much hell too because he's a visionary director and audiences believe all he does is make all CGI and visual effects movies with no story.
I disagree. He's done really impressive with his old work (Dawn of the Dead, Watchmen, Sucker Punch) and really skyrocketed with Man of Steel and the upcoming Batman vs Superman. He can actually give attention to the story and not bore audiences out.

Just my top 10 random favorite directors (in no specific order) that do really good movies in my opinion.
Just for fun!
