Camelot (1967)
A musical retelling of much of TH White's Once and Future King. Possibly the main source of most modern knowledge of the tales.
Focuses specifically on the love triangle between Arthur, Lancelot and Gwenivere.

Elfflame's rating:
A sword and sorcery remake of the Knights of the Round Table, which includes some of the most well-known actors today, including Helen Mirren, Gabriel Byrne, Patrick Stewart, and Liam Neeson.
Elfflame's rating:
A bit camp, and not much like Twain's tale in the end, but a fun movie nevertheless.
Elfflame's rating:
Possibly the best-known version of Arthurian tales at the moment. Highly quotable, and hilarious. Definitely worth at least one viewing.
Elfflame's rating:
The Sword in the Stone (1963)
Another tale based on White's Once and Future King. In this case, the earlier chapters, which were only touched on by Camelot, and focusing almost completely on Arthur's training with Merlin.
Elfflame's rating:
Shrek the Third (2007)
Not specifically about King Arthur, but he is in the movie. I won't give it away for those who haven't seen, but be on the lookout for a character named "Artie."
Elfflame's rating:
King Arthur (2004)
Not my favorite version. Tried to weave in the speculative ideas about Arthur having Roman ancestry. Focused too much on the "pretty" cast, and not enough on the story, and changed too many of the details for my tastes.
Elfflame's rating:
First Knight (1995)
Sean Connery, maybe, but Richard Gere should never have been allowed anywhere near this story. He's just not a believable period actor. There wasn't enough heart in this one.

Quest for Camelot (1998)
I have to admit to not even being sure if I've seen this all the way through or not... Probably not a good sign, hm?
A Kid in King Arthur's Court (1995)
Based on Connecticut Yankee as well, though changing the Yankee to a kid. Haven't seen this one. Probably won't.
So many movies about King Arthur and his knights--old, new, musical, historical, and every one of them (well, nearly every one) brings something new to the table.
