Children of Men (2006)
Scifi movie that reaches really dark atmosphere. The idea of men beeing exctinct is difficult to tackle, but also rather unique. Children of men gets it well.
Spelbergs first as director is a road movie that takes a turn towards horror. its so well writen, that viewer wont think "why he dont just...", simply becuse there is no options rather than do what happends in a movie
Grand Prix (1966)
Not so sure about this, i dont think its as racing focues as Steve McQueens LeMans, but more of an love story... but since i have that LeMans allready, this is a must have too
Ju-on: The Grudge (2002)
After seeing the american version of The Grudge, i've been wondering how terrifying the original is? you propably have noticed that the American re-do's rarely reaches the levels as originals do ;)
Planet of the Apes (1968)
Classic, not just 1st but all of them but atleast the five first ones, produced by Arthur P. Jacobs
Reign of Fire (2002)
Really good fantasy movie, critics doesnt like movies with dragons, and i dont like critics who cant like movies without moralizing society etc.

Ronin (1998)
At the age of 68, John Frankenheimer show younger directors how a great action movie is done. Utterly cool euro-action with stunning car chasses
Sorcerer (1977)
Nothing too special on plotwise, take a truck, fill it with explosives and deliver it through the jungle. But when you do it all perfectly, you'll get well working and exciting movie that shows no need for modern special effects
The Hunter (2011)
Only seen a trailer on this one, but its the plot that puts me to wonder how this actually works as an movie. Besides, i like Willem Dafoes acting...
The Italian Job (2003)
never seen the original Italian Job, from 1969.
Bit like Cannonball run, a must for petrolhead. Made famous by the 3 Mini's used on heist

The Transporter (2002)
First one is cool, fine example of european action movie with well sleack looking car scenes. Have to give some credit on Jason Statham palying a professional delivery man, but queit far from everyday postman...
Transsiberian (2008)
Train + siberia = sounds really good compination for a thriller... Emily Mortimer! Kate Mara! and to top it all up, the one and only Sir Ben Kingsley!!!
Facts on... There is so ridicilous amount of movies done, that no one, i mean NO ONE can keep up with those! So what happends is that you miss some essential classics or otherwise interesting displayes that you'd otherwise watch or buy.
I noticed this first time when i discoverd Underworld trilogy i simply hold the box, liking the appearance of it - also, it did help alot, that twilight is not an option. afterwards i was wondering, how did i miss such and action pack complitly.
Other type movies are the classics, or 'cult' movies, loads of films that has either left its mark on silverscreens or has slowly fallen to oblivion or are now enjoy great appreciation on smaller, more specific audiences.
