If I weren't so bent on taking notes or annotating the passages of books, particularly the non-fiction titles, I could fancy calling myself 'well read'. I don't just blast through a book like I would with my workload, I like to truly know the book as well as I can. The list is overwhelmingly Western-centric, but I'd like to learn about the predominant culture I'm more accustomed to before I venture to other territories first. Keeping myself abreast of current world affairs is what drives me to pick up more non-fiction nowadays too. I've also been chipping away at Montaigne for a time, and first impressions tell me he may just be the genuine article, but like War and Peace, it's gonna be one helluva dragon to slay.
