THE BIGGEST AND THE (B)OLDEST GENRE FILM FESTIVAL IN FINLAND
The biggest, the oldest and the most prestigious film festival in Finland focusing on horror, fantasy, science fiction and cult movies is once again all set to break boundaries and move mountains in a way you've never had the courage to even dream of. Night Visions Maximum Halloween 3009 is the biggest event ever in the history of the 13-year-old festival. Spanning over five days, featuring a lineup of over 20 features and introducing a number of international filmmaker guests joining us for the celebration, the event is bound to become a milestone of genre cinema in Finland.
The festival's main venue is the historically and architecturally significant cinema Maxim in the very heart of Helsinki. Active non-stop since 1909, Maxim is the oldest cinema still operating in Finland.
Night Visions Film Festival is arranged by a non-profit organization Night Visions - Yon Kuvat ry. The event is supported by the Finnish National Council for Cinema and the Cultural Office of the city of Helsinki.
