I know, I know, I think everybody says "another grunge kid". But for me, Nirvana was one of the greatest bands ever. And I'm not just talking a about Nevermind, I love it because they find a very honest and a very simple way to say what they think. You should listen In Utero and Incesticide and forget for just one moment, they were the most exploted band in the 90s
The fusion of all the greatest from Seattle, Pearl Jam, Screaming trees, Alice in Chains and others. I think this is the best work of Layne Staley. Wake Up is the best song of this band!
The legendary band of the Stoner Rock escene. This guys knows how to take you into a trip right to the desert with their songs. You should listen White Water right now!
I know this guy has his solo career, but he have to great mates, Robert Trujillo and Mike Bordin, they recorded Degradation Trip Vol I and II, one of the greatest records ever!
Fuzz, fuzz, fuzz!!! A very noisy band that survives after the grunge dies in the 90s. Mark Arm is one of the biggest influences in my music. In 'N' Out Of Grace has one of the greatest riffs of this band
I miss the voice and lyrics of Shannon Hoon, even when they get a new singer and they are on the road again, Shannon was the soul of this band. Soul One and 3 is the magic number are my favorite songs.
She's by far (at least for me) the ultimate diva of the alternative rock, she was part of a lot of bands in the 90s. Hole, Smashing Pumpkins, The Chelsea, Hand of Doom... With her "band" Auf der Maur prove to the world she's an incredible musician. Go ahead and listen Skin Receiver and Lighting is my girl.
I remember when I see for the first time on MTV (yeah, I know, I suck) the video of their first single No one knows. Impressed me a lot. Then I get their record, Songs for the Deaf, and they blow my mind. Then I get all the records of this guys. I can't deny I'm a fan from hell of Josh Homme. Song for the deaf is the shit.
They are more an Indie rock band, but the sound of this band reminds me a lot the raw and the feeling of the alternative bands of the 90s. I love you Alison. The song Pull a U
This chubby guy has the type of a serial killer. One of the heaviest grunge band. Even when the lyrics were weird and a little lame, their riff was incredible. You must listen Grease Box.
