I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and say that the sequel is just as good as the first film. But maybe that's just me?^^
Love Actually (2003)
Oh, the love.
Who can really say that this film does not scream holiday tradition? Really.
I mean, everyone is in it!
And Bill Nighy is just awesome in this film.

The Holiday (2006)
This film is really just on the list because it takes place during christmas.
It's really not that good. But hey!

I loves me some drama, and this film (like the poster will tell you) kind of gives the finger to the traditional christmas film, though it's still filled with good old clichรฉs and a happy ending. Joy!
Notting Hill (1999)
Yeah, there is a lot of Hugh Grant on this list. Don't know why really, but he is just so wonderfully british I guess^^
And somehow british = christmas to me.
And again, love this film!

I have no idea why this is on the list, but somehow this is i christmas film to me...
Think it happened a few years ago when I was sick during the holidays and went through all my dvds. And this kind of stuck.

Again, not really sure what the link to christmas is.
But the wear cool clothes and there are pirates, so that's good enough for me!

A lot of Keira Knightly on this list too...
But that is JUST A COINCIDENCE. Trust me.

Well this movie sucked balls. But still, it comes with the other two, so I kind of have to see it. You know?
Harry freakin' Potter!
Well, to me Harry is a must in general, but especially during christmas :)
Sitting by the fire with hot chocolate and these films; perfection!

I try to have a marathon each year, one day when we tear ourselves away from all the food and family and just geek out. It's great.
I work in a video store, and during christmas there are really no customers...
So what I do is, I play the Harry Potter films on the big-ass flatscreen by the entrance, and my friends come down to the store and we all sit around and watch until closing time. Popcorn and everything.
But don't tell my boss.

And, being the geeks we are, we compare the films to the books and hate on all the new stuff and and weep (not really) over the things they've taken out.
When I do have costumers, they either come join us or they laugh at the girl (not me!) who tend to actually cry when they leave out things from the book.
Jolly good times!!

Can't wait for the last two films to come out on DVD, then christmas will be perfect!
Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)
Usually watch these films in January 1.
A perfect day spent in bed, with junk food and the hope that this year, I too will be able to find love in the form of a young oh-so-british Colin Firth, just like Bridget.
That never happens.

It's nice to watch something that is not so christmasy after in the end. It can really get annoying, actually. That's way I only the happy, happy, lovey, lovey-thing once a year.
It's sooo nice, I really do love Christmas! Or at least the films I get to watch^^
But only once a year. That way they stay special, and I can look forward to it.

A "little" list of the films I HAVE to watch every Christmas. If I don't.. Well, it's just not Christmas without them!
