This documentary jump started my interest in viewing all the Video Nasties this year. Wonderful introduction in the beginning, showing the best gore from each movie in alphabetical order. Naturally, that convinced me more than anything.
The documentary itself was very well put together, and put a little more back story and faces to this obsession with censorship and control of...sometimes art.

Gatiss always hits the mark with his horror documentaries. And subsequently has now increased my list of "movies to see". Big surprise.

Sexbomb (1989)
Oddly enough, I watched this after I saw a documentary that focused on 80's scream queens, most notably Linnea Quigley. And lo and behold, the first scene of this movie is of her walking in topless.
Essentially, a movie parodying the budget horror movie scene from the 80's/early 90's.

Strange movie, but I really liked the grittiness of the movie. The fact that it was shot on a micro-budget and it was clearly ripped off a VHS copy actually adds to this movie, probably more so than it would have on its own. It had a habit of dragging in some areas, and the acting was something left to be desired at times. More comparable to Taxi Driver than any horror movie.

The Revenge of Doctor X (1967)
I can't even figure out if this movie was supposed to be a comedy or just didn't realize it pretty much turned into a comedy.

The Loved Ones (2009)
I love myself some good female protagonists. Fits along with May, Inside, Haute Tension and Ginger Snaps.

Shakes the Clown (1991) (1992)
Not nearly as good as I imagined it could have been. Added some darker comedy and it would have been spot on.

A very demented film, to say the least. One of those movies where the director/writer does it because "why the fuck not"? Pure sleaze.
Kind of disappointed by this. You can do monsters and kids movies right, but this just ended up a little too cringe-worthy at times. The music especially killed it for me. Between LMFAO and Adam Sandler rapping as Dracula, it was just too much ("Rock Me Dracula" from "Dracula Blows His Cool" was 100x better). I hate jokes that only stay relevant for a certain period of time.

Pretty Women in a cheap (very cheap) slasher flick with a disco soundtrack?

So how drunk was David Carradine when he made this? Guess it doesn't really matter.
Seriously, if there's anything that I love, it's when a movie is incredibly fucked up and has an excellent streak of black humor to it, along with a nice amount of gore. This movie just hits every sweet spot perfectly and I have never been so disgusted by any character in a movie like I have with Kai before. The man is absolutely repulsive and absolutely charismatic all at once. It's fantastic.
Wenchtits McWench's rating:
The horrible, overly-dramatic dubbing and out of place music did take away from this movie a bit...but it was still extremely depressing and dreary to watch. Probably will not need a second viewing.

Self-explanatory. Although I have made it my personal mission to at least get all the video nasties I haven't seen onto this list.
