Mario Bava was born july 31 1914 in Sanremo, Liguria, Italy and died April 25 1980 in Rome , Italy.
Mario began is career as cinematographer in the late 1930's and early 1940's in some short films directed by Roberto Rossellini but it's only in 1943 in the movie L'Avventura Di Annabella directed by Leo Menardi that he did is first motion picture as a cinematographer and persued is career as a cinemagrapher until 1956 the year he released is first film Lust For Vampire starring Gianna Maria Canale, Carlo D'Angelo and Dario Michaelis and during is career he released The Giant of Marathon (1959) co-directed with Jacques Tourneur, Black Sunday (1960) Hercules In The Haunted World (1961) Erik The Conqueror (1961) Black Sabbath (1963) Blood And Black Lace (1964) Dr Goldfoot And The Girl Bombs (1966) Danger :Diabolik (1968) A Bay of Blood (1971) Lisa And The Devil (1972) And Shock in 1977.
