"First viewing - Jan. 30th Paramount+ This was an entertaining little B movie. I thought the costumes & sets & use of color was all visually appealing, if a bit cheesy-looking at times. The cast is fine & the story is all right. I was entertained enough by it overall, & were it not for a wicked little ending I might not have liked it nearly as much. Don't know that I'd need to sit through it again, but it was worth a look."
" Date: 2/19/2021 Viewed: Amazon Prime Re-Watch Note: Planet of the Vampires was probably the first Mario Bava movie that I remember seeing as a kid on TV back in the mid-90s (I think it was back in 1996). I was curious to see if the movie still holds up or not. Planet of the Vampires holds up very well and it is an overlooked gem from the 1960s in my opinion. This movie was a major influence on both Star Trek and Alien (1979). I love the movie's atmosphere and the set designs. Everything abou"
"Bavan avaruudessa tapahtuvan vampyyrisekoilun luulisi olevan pirun viihdyttävää, mutta ei. Pallinaamat nahka-asuissaan huolestuvat sen tunnin ja puolikkaan verran ja samalla porukkaa kuolee off-sreeninä. Italomaisen tylystä lopetuksesta sentään hieman plussaa."
"A timeless SF classic. An essential date of the cinema of the Sixties."
