Chicago Med - Season 2

Dr. Rhodes begins a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery, only to have problems with his new boss Dr. Latham. Dr. Choi becomes the new chief resident of the ED and finds the road a bit rocky. Reese receives an opportunity. April faces her recently discovered illness.

2x02 - Win Loss

Dr. Manning and Dr. Rhodes both treat complicated cases involving sick babies, only to uncover that the two cases could be connected. Dr. Halstead and Dr. Charles treat a homeless man with an upbeat disposition who sheds some valuable insight that prompts one of the doctors to learn a thing or two along the way. Dr. Choi has a Navy corpsman follow him for the day as they deal with the toll of gang violence in the city, while Dr. Reese tries to understand the delicate balance required in her new position.

2x03 - Natural History

Dr. Manning and fourth-year medical student Jeff Clarke try to figure out a mystery illness when an Indonesian man who doesn't speak English arrives at the hospital. Maggie takes Dr. Halstead to her family reunion where he meets her sibling Denise and uncovers deep-rooted family secrets. Dr. Rhodes takes on a complicated heart surgery without consulting Dr. Latham, and Dr. Reese and Dr. Charles encounter a woman experiencing an unusual pregnancy.

2x04 - Brother's Keeper

Several patients are discovered to have the same rare infection, prompting Dr. Charles' daughter Robin, an epidemiologist, to be brought in to find the common factor. Dr. Choi and Dr. Rhodes work on an elderly man who is discovered to be very ill, but a conflict in how to best treat him develops between his son and his young girlfriend. Dr. Reese tries to help a young drug addict. Maggie tends to a patient who is dear to her heart.

2x05 - Extreme Measures

A car accident at the Chicago Marathon leaves a victim in critical condition and tests the mettle of Dr. Halstead, April and her fourth-year medical resident brother Noah, who must perform a difficult procedure in the field. Dr. Manning deals with a mother who brings in her 8-year-old daughter who is experiencing sudden hearing loss. Dr. Choi deals with Olga, a woman who is malnourished, prompting him to bring in Dr. Charles to help assess the case. Goodwin takes measures to get her personal life in order.

2x06 - Alternative Medicine

Dr. Manning tends to a young cancer patient and struggles to inform her parents of her dire condition. Dr. Reese gets contacted by Danny, the troubled young man, and turns to Dr. Charles and Detective Lindsay for help in resolving a difficult situation. Goodwin and Maggie do their best to clear the logjam in the hospital, and Dr. Rhodes fine-tunes his instincts after both Dr. Latham and Dr. Halstead pick up on things he doesn't. A teenage science geek and her friends impress Dr. Choi and Natalie with their bio-engineering lab.

2x07 - Inherent Bias

Goodwin's childhood sweetheart arrives at the hospital but finds himself in dire straits. To help get his financial footing, Dr. Halstead gets lured into a concierge doctor app idea. A young woman with a heart infection is treated by Dr. Rhodes against Dr. Charles' advice, and Reese's former patient, a sex trafficking victim, reaches out to her for help.

2x08 - Free Will

Dr. Halstead and Dr. Manning deal with two warring brothers who are brought together when one finds himself in desperate need of a kidney. Dr. Reese's former patient Danny comes to a crossroads. Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Latham treat a 16-year-old girl with a genetic condition in need of surgery, but whose overprotective mother disagrees with the course of action. A convict with unusual intentions puts himself in the hospital and Dr. Charles meddles in his daughter Robyn's personal life, much to her dismay. Dr. Halstead and April make a discovery that complicates her treatment for TB.

2x09 - Uncharted Territory

Dr. Choi is personally moved by the case of two MMA fighters. Dr. Manning and Dr. Rhodes help a patient with respiratory problems and Dr. Charles and Dr. Reese are in charge of deciding whether a patient should receive a heart transplant. April has complications in her pregnancy due to her TB meds, while Jeff shares an old secret that leads to huge complications in his relationship with Natalie.

2x10 - Heart Matters

Maggie comes face to face with her past actions when an officer that previously arrested her arrives in critical condition. Following on from Uncharted Territory, the heart transplant patient gets into a car crash. Dr. Manning and Dr. Halstead deal with a situation that goes horribly wrong.

2x11 - Graveyard Shift

Everyone feels the effects of working the graveyard shift. As the psych resident on call, Dr. Reese is forced to make multiple death notifications to patients' families. Much to Tate's dismay, April gets pulled into working an extra shift. Sharon calls Dr. Rhodes to the hospital to tend to a panda bear that needs surgery and Dr. Halstead is shadowed by a resident, only to find out that he has been intoxicated while on shift.

2x12 - Mirror Mirror

Dr. Manning and Dr. Charles treat a teenage girl with a rapidly changing set of symptoms that have everyone perplexed. Dr. Choi and medical student Jeff Clark encounter a 19 year-old tough guy who is brought into the hospital in severe distress, whose situation quickly turns dangerous, while a resolved Dr. Reese does her best to help. Dr. Latham makes a big admission to Dr. Rhodes while Dr. Halstead must deal with a difficult case that is further complicated by Dr. Stohl, who has a camera crew following him around to shoot a promotional video.

2x13 - Theseus' Ship

Dr. Manning treats a young cancer patient whose father has not been filling his chemotherapy prescription. Dr. Choi, Dr. Charles, and Dr. Reese treat a woman who has an unusual personality disorder, while Dr. Halstead and Dr. Robin Charles try to tend to a woman who refuses treatment. Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Latham take a trip to another hospital to perform a rare medical procedure.

2x14 - Cold Front

The doctors and nurses of Med brace for an influx of patients when a multi-vehicle accident during a blizzard puts the hospital in scramble mode. Dr. Charles deals with a demanding patient.

2x15 - Lose Yourself

Dr. Rhodes tends to a patient who survived a fall from a 30 story building, resulting in a city-wide media sensation. April receives devastating news about her unborn baby. Dr. Choi and Dr. Manning treat a paraplegic and discover that he is using an experimental treatment to try and reverse his paralysis. Dr. Reese tends to a patient who helps out people in need.

2x16 - Prisoner's Dilemma

Dr. Manning treats a comatose patient who was sexually abused and is now pregnant. After an educational visit to a psychiatric facility, Dr. Reese finds one of the teens there has harmed herself as a means to see her and soon comes to believe the patient was wrongly committed. Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Latham operate on a young girl who collapsed mid-flight while Dr. Choi, April, and Jeff Clarke treat the girl's mother, who has ingested balloons of cocaine.

2x17 - Monday Mourning

An ED doctor takes a drastic step that leaves everyone reeling. Dr. Choi and Dr. Halstead argue over how to treat a patient with stroke symptoms, while Dr. Manning treats a boy who fell in the river and subsequently watches the family drama unfold.

2x18 - Lesson Learned

Dr. Halstead makes difficult decisions when tending to a patient who was also his mentor in medical school. Dr. Rhodes performs a risky surgery on a young boy as an alternative to amputating his arm. Dr. Charles and Dr. Reese tend to a patient who denies having suicidal tendencies. Maggie takes an aggressive route when training a new nursing student, and Dr. Reese continues to mourn the loss of a colleague.

2x19 - Ctrl Alt

Chaos hits the hospital when the computer system gets hacked by an unknown source that asks for a ransom. Sharon has an awkward encounter when her ex-husband brings in his new girlfriend for treatment. Dr. Choi tries to locate a bullet fragment that has migrated from a victim's original wound. Dr. Reese feels Dr. Charles is trying to push her out of psychiatry. Dr. Rhodes is concerned by Robin's erratic behaviour.

2x20 - Generation Gap

Dr. Halstead asks for Dr. Rhodes' help in admitting his overbearing father against his wishes due to a failing heart. Dr. Choi deals with a teenage patient who desperately wants to be able to control his sexual urges. Dr. Manning and Jeff Clarke tend to a child who they discover have been neglected by his overworked mother. Dr. Rhodes asks Dr. Charles to confront Robin over her erratic behaviour. Dr. Reese tries to teach a class of high schoolers the responsibilities of raising a child.

2x21 - Deliver Us

Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Manning tend to a pregnant patient whose fetus is the cure to its sister's cancer. Dr. Charles has Dr. Reese perform the psychiatric evaluation on his daughter Robin as a means of keeping tabs on the process. Dr. Choi gets tough on April's brother Noah when a residency spot opens up.

2x22 - White Butterflies

Dr. Rhodes challenges Dr. Charles and other hospital staff over Robin's treatment, Dr. Manning seeks help from Detective Jay Halstead when a sensitive case involving a young girl turns into a crime. Goodwin helps a friend in distress.

2x23 - Love Hurts

Robin is admitted back to the psychiatric facility, but Dr. Reese takes a different approach to her treatment and soon discovers a different cause to Robin's symptoms. Dr. Halstead tries to mask and control his feelings for Dr. Manning when working with her on a refugee patient. April tries to avoid Dr. Choi following his pass toward her. Dr. Ava Bekker joins the surgical team.
