Predictions made January of 2024

This will be a year that should continue the trend of the box office slightly increasing, but it still won't be a great year. There is no real clear winner and there seems to be very little chance of an original property for adults making a splash. I really hope so, but for now it's another year of a bunch of kids, bloated action, money-grabbing sequels and superhero movies. We all know superhero fatigue plagued 2023 and it likely will continue with this lot. Kind of a dull year ahead, but I still find predicting fun. Damn, am I getting too old for this shit? I sound like a cranky old man sometimes, but seriously let's hope I'm wrong and it's truly a bounce-back year!
