Robin Hood (2010)

This Ridley Scott version of the tail that's been told too many times isn't bad. It's got a lot of the elements I like about bow-and-arrow movies, yet it's about Robin Hood, a character and story that I perceive as more jaunty and light-hearted, this movie is just so serious and dark. Once again, that's not an entirely bad thing, just not a version I prefer. Plus it's kind of boring compared to past versions.

Knight and Day

Cruise and Diaz seem like an obvious pairing at this point in their careers. They have fun chemistry and the comedy is there in parts where the action is there almost always.

The only thing new about this movie is the pairing otherwise the story is not fresh, the action isn't memorable and the characters are pretty cliche.

Naomi Watts is superb in the flat paced recounting of a real-life infuriating situation which came after a horrific event.
Sean Penn, eh.
Director Doug Liman shows his chops, he will later go on to direct better movies like "Edge of Tomorrow" and "American Made".

I'm glad I gave this movie a second chance, it's not too bad. Visual Effects are second to none but the low grade acting distracts from the beautiful visuals at times.

I put this on as background, to learn a bit here and there, but ended up being enormously surprised. It's a very well put-together documentary about a crazy epidemic concerning all of Australia and something the rest of the world can be weary of.

The Kids Are All Right (2010)

Benning is great in this and Ruffalo plays laid-back cool guy like no other... hell the casting was solid all around... except for Julianne Moore. Once again she ruins the chance for a movie to be great.

Why do people like her? I can't believe any of her acting!

Another great year for film! People seemed to be negative about 2010 films; but if you give them a chance there's a lot of gold out there, especially if you like documentaries.
