Somewhere between the 1630's and 1660.
silent killer's rating:
Some time around the mid 1600's to 1720's. Maybe. Basing this off of the sword school Jin uses and the fact there are still hidden christians roaming about the main island of Japan.
silent killer's rating:
Sometime before 1868 when Tokyo was still called Edo. That's a long time if anyone is keeping track.
It starts in 1863, however most of the movie events take place in 1866

Just goes to show that having an unhealthy obsession may not always be a bad thing. In this case, the writers obsession with Victorian Era England.

A small note: Don't expect any other FMA on this list.

Hetalia Axis Powers (2009)
Presumably during WW2. I say presumably because it anthropomorphizes all the countries involved in this great conflict.
1962
Due to slight differences in historical happenings, starting with Britain never having come under the rule of The Roman Empire, their technology is roughly 50 years ahead of our own at the time. Incidentally, they use a different calendar from ours. It's 2017 atb(Acension Throne Brittania) by their calendar.

Blood: The Last Vampire (2000)
1966 prior to the Vietnam War. Primarily takes place in Yokota Airbase in Japan.
silent killer's rating:
Fate/Zero (2011)
Some time in the late 1980's to early 90's if one assumes Fate Stay/Night takes place in ten years time from the events of Fate/Zero.
I suppose these could be considered period shows since they don't take place in the era they were animated in. Future anime are not included in this list.
