During a fiercely hot summer in Sotoba, a peaceful and quiet village with a population of 1300 people, a series of bizarre deaths begin to occur. At the same time, a strange family moves into a long abandoned mansion in the region. After supposedly visiting this strange family, the fashionable Shimizu Megumi goes missing and the entire village goes out in search for her.

"Shiki is about a small village called Sotoba. The village has it's peaceful life turned upside down when a strange, wealthy family moves into the newly built mansion and series of bizarre deaths occur. Thinking the deaths might be a disease of some sort, Toshio Ozaki the head of the local hospital, begins investigating the deaths. He quickly finds that there is in fact something supernatural at work, namely Shiki or Vampires. I enjoyed this anime a lot, it is incredibly gory and the storyline h"
