Goi, Rode, Goi! (Гой, Роде, Гой!) - Arkona (Rus)
From record to record this band has been getting better and better very fast. The nowadays a bit overused traditional folk-elements are given their true face right here. Masha's vocals are pure brilliancy from tender clean bits to the manic, agressive grunts and shouts. This one just haves something in it.

Death Is Glory... Now! - Reverend Bizarre
A great compilation from the now-deceased finnish doom legend. These "hidden" jewels give a good picture of the versatility of the group. Some nwobhm-like shit, classic doom anthems, finnish hc, brilliant covers and much more.

The God Behind The God - Spiritus Mortis
A strong return from ye oldest finnish doom legends. S.A. Hynninen is everywhere nowadays but his epic and painful delivery fits here perfectly. The Man Of Steel even has some Rob Halford-worship in it. Fuck yeah.

Engram - Beherit
Beherit's return was awaited with very complex thoughts. Engram is a kind of two-bladed knife itself.
It has some of the old, twisted-Beherit athmosphere but then again, the soundworld is very clean, the bass is very visible, and the vocals are very basic stuff, not the focking insane black-spermshit agression but quite good enough. In the Beherit discography this is in many ways an important record all the same. It leaves the listener to wait eagerly for the band's next move.

The Light-Devouring Darkness - Archgoat
Archgoat's millenium record number two moves a bit away from the previous one's. This one is not at all so chaotic and you can also hear the lyrics. What the hell?
This doesn't mean anything near something called sell-out, not at all. Some evolving has happened, if it sticks then it's fine by me, but when talking about Archgoat, you never know what's going to happen.

Demo - Arkham Witch
Basically very traditional doom with quite interesting vocals but not anything special. But it's still a demo, have to wait for the first full lenght-album to get a full view.
All Shall Fall - Immortal
A great dissapointment, though my expectations were not very high to begin with. I thought I'd get some basic good, cold smashing Blashyrk-shit but didn't get even that. Just a pure clinical riff after another, with no hooks and no soul, nothing ideal to wait for.
