“The survival experience of the game is rather poor not only compared to its rival franchise, Resident Evil, but also to its own predecessor. The enemies are less varied, less agile, and therefore less demanding, and resources are plentiful. The game's structure of trying out doors until finding accessible areas and then collecting items to unlock new areas becomes repetitive and quite linear. The parcially smart decision to clean the screen from any kind of HUDs is truncated by the necesity to check the menu constantly in order to manage the inventory and check the maps.
