Reservoir Dogs:
Quentin Tarantino rocked the film world with this powerful and controversial debut movie. Set mainly in a warehouse in the aftermath of a bungled robbery the story gradually unfolds to introduce the colour coded gangsters and the planning of the crime step by step, through Tarantino's trademark flashbacks. Four have survived after a police ambush - betrayed. What went wrong and who is the betrayer? Brilliantly scripted and complemented by the 70's retro soundtrack, the scenes are stylish and violent yet intelligent and full of dark humour.
Pulp Fiction:
Hollywood's hottest director Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs) assembles an all-star cast for a skillfully woven tale of small-time gangster life in a most ambitious and provocative film, Pulp Fiction. Bruce Willis (Die Hard) and Oscar nominees John Travolta (Best Actor) and Samuel L. Jackson (Best Supporting Actor) deliver career performances as petty thugs in L.A.'s criminal underworld - where gritty confrontations, fast talk and perverse humour are all part of the daily grind. Nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award 1995, this boldly inventive and expertly orchestrated crime saga is hailed by critics as a landmark achievement in modern filmmaking!
Jackie Brown:
From filmmaking sensation Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction) comes this edgy, critically-acclaimed action-thriller starring some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction), Robert De Niro (Wag The Dog), Michael Keaton (Batman Returns) and Bridget Fonda (Single White Female). What do a sexy stewardess (Pam Grier - Escape From LA), a street-tough gun runner (Jackson), a lonely bail bondsman (Oscar Nominee Robert Forster), a shifty ex-con (De Niro), an over-ambitious cop (Keaton) and a stoned-out beach bunny (Fonda) have in common? They're all chasing half a million in cash! The only questions among these players are who's conning who and who'll walk away with the goods. Loaded with a characteristically unique combination of intense action and sly humour, Tarantino scores again with the wildly entertaining Jackie Brown.
