Fun if you're into silly sci-fi
Basically it's a little bit like star trek or something, except for the most part there aren't space ships--instead your four main characters bop in and out of this worm hole ring thing, and that's how they get around.

" "Stargate: Continuum" Release date: July 28, 2008 "What further instructions could there be, besides "kiss your ass goodbye"?" "

"General Hammond summons Colonel Jack O'Neill out of retirement to embark on a secret rescue mission. O'Neill confesses that he disobeyed orders to destroy the Stargate on Planet Abydos, and that scientist Daniel Jackson may still be alive. Arriving on Abydos with his team, O'Neill meets up once again with the scientist, who has discovered a giant elaborate cartouche in hieroglyphics. All signs point to the fact that this is a map of many Stargates that exist throughout the galaxy - a development"

"Based on “Stargate” by: Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin Created by: Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner Airdate: July 27, 1997 – March 13, 2007 "

" What's life without a scifi serial beginning with the word star? My girlfriend and I started from episode 1 and it's been extremely fun so far. The show has a lot of typical 90's nonsense and typical scifi nonsense in the first season and we've been having a lot of fun watching and discussing episodes over dinner. "
