"5'75 / 10 I love Emily Blunt so much. Her acting sensibility really gets me but the movie isn't as great as I expected after reading the book. It's not a bad movie but it can get a bit boring for those who have read the book maybe."
“The movie didn't do justice to the amazing book. Very poor character development, cast is very weak - Haley Bennett's performance as Megan is laughable - also they made critical changes to the original story from the book which in my opinion ruined the entire screen script. It looks more like one of those pathetic dramatic reconstruction movies from Investigation Discovery than a real movie.” read more
"This is without a doubt the most boring film I have seen so far this year. The first act was painful and it was hard to keep focus on what was happening and to not have my mind wander. It was impossible to ignore the fact that The Girl On The Train was trying soooooo hard to be another Gone Girl and failing so hard at the attempt. "Offers a promise of being a subversive crime saga in the vein of "Gone Girl," but by the film's final twist, reveals itself as a depressingly standard film, with Emily Blunt's outstanding performance being the only thing that makes this film stand out. 5.3/10"
"When: October 9th First-Time Viewing: Yes. How: In theaters. What'd I Think?: Occasionally intriguing, some smart scenes, but somewhat predictable, and a dull climax. My Rating: 5/10 Other Notes: NA."
