The Girl on the Train update feed
"Very disappointing. Emily Blunt plays a drunk and it's a bit startling to see her play a gaunt, rather unlikeable character. Nothing original at all really to the story. It's just told from forward and backward to add suspense. A melodrama about a cheating shit husband. The most interesting character was the woman who was murdered and her story is cut off by it. "
“The promise of a good thriller is blurred by a psycho alcoholic patetic character. But Emily Blunt dignifies her.”
“The movie didn't do justice to the amazing book. Very poor character development, cast is very weak - Haley Bennett's performance as Megan is laughabl”

"Watched 01/17/2017 Rating 5.0/10 Format: Blu Ray Even with a great performance by Emily Blunt the films suspense and mystery falls flat which makes it a bore to watch. "
" 6 January. Paula Hawkins' best-selling mystery about the disappearance of a woman told from the connected viewpoints of three women, including the victim. Girl-powered Rashomon, anyone? The lead, however is the drunk Rachel, an emotionally wrecked heroine who commutes by train and may hold all the answers. The novel loses some of its engaging prose on the screen, but still captures its essence. "
