"22.1. 2025 3.5 million young German men are sent to the front, but only a small number return home. The war is presented in "Stalingrad" as harsh and abstract as it truly is. "Stalingrad" might be hard to watch for casual viewers because it doesn't offer any likable characters they could identify with. The film avoids glorifying the war, which is easy to appreciate, and it also shows how war only breaks people as the young men are used as pawns for tyrannical leaders."

" Stalingrad is a 1993 German anti-war film directed by Joseph Vilsmaier. It follows a platoon of German Army soldiers transferred to the Eastern Front of World War II, where they find themselves fighting in the Battle of Stalingrad. The film is the second German movie to portray the Battle of Stalingrad. It was preceded by the 1959 Hunde, wollt ihr ewig leben (Stalingrad: Dogs, Do You Want to Live Forever?). The film was shot in several locations, including Finland, Italy, and Czechoslovakia,"

"Интересное кино и для нас непривычное тем, что всё показано от лица немцев. Рекомендую."

" First Viewing Viewing Date: January 21st Via: Blu-ray Plot: A platoon of German soldiers fight through the brutal Battle of Stalingrad against the Soviet Army in 1942. Rating: 8.2/10"

"Jan 6th WW2 from a German perspective and their war with Russia centering on Stalingrad. Not particularly laudable for its action scenes but more for its exploration of soldiers at war. Questions of sacrifice, duty, humanity and survival are most salient. Overall rating 6.8. "
