“To be honest, I wasn't really sure what to expect from this flick but since it was on the 'They Shoot Pictures, Don’t They' list, I was quite eager to check it out. While watching this movie, I was wondering who Jean Genet actually was. In fact, he only directed this short and mostly wrote some books and poems which were at least as sulfurous and controversial as this only directorial effort. Eventually, Genet had a rather fascinating life, almost even more interesting than his body of work. Anyway, coming back on this short, the damned thing was seriously disturbing and, yet, quite fascinating at the same time.
