"Re-Watched 07/17/2017 Rating 6.0/10 Format: Blu Ray King Kong really takes a step back in character development in this version but there are some great action scenes and honestly i never really cared about this movie i just knew it had to happen before we get Godzilla vs King Kong. "
"Works as a callback to the monster movies of the past, and as a nostalgic escapist adventure, the film is entertaining popcorn fun, that is slightly hurt by some poor editing choices, and predictability. 7.4/10"

"11/3/17 Those expecting a remake of the 1933 classic will be sorely disappointed. This is a blockbuster film with the heart of a B-movie, as scientists and soldiers head to a mysterious island to discover its the home of a giant ape. Impressive to look at with some terrific action sequences, the script is terrible and the humans one-dimensional but you cannot help but enjoy this nonsense."
“To be honest, this movie was not really a high priority for me but Nick, my step-son, was quite eager to check it out. Well, eventually, I have to admit that it was not bad at all after all. Indeed, it was an interesting choice to set the action in the 70's and, as a result, it really stood out from it predecessors and it was easily the funkiest version of King Kong I have seen so far. It was also pretty neat that, right from the moment that they came to Skull Island, you actually get to see Kong in a massive fight which was quite unexpected as, usually in this genre, you have to wait forever before something really exciting actually happens. " 10 March. The newest King Kong movie is pure adrenaline, visually satisfying with breathtaking scenery and a large cast of name stars. Set during the US pullout of troops from Vietnam, a team of scientists led by John Goodman are escorted to uncharted Skull island by US marines led by Samuel L Jackson. In tow are photojournalist Brie Larson and tracker Tom Hiddleston. The Marines are armed to the teeth, enough to start a new war in a small country, and that's exactly what they get. "
"March 26 "An uncharted island. Let me list all the ways you're gonna die: rain, heat, disease-carrying flies, and we haven't started on the things that want to eat you alive." Now this was a damn good Kong movie. It took decades for it to happen, but we've finally got a solid King Kong story that's fresh. First, the special effects in this movie are stunning. Despite the fact that CGI has lost some of it's charm due to how glaringly obvious it can be if done poorly, the CGI effects here ar"
"Tomatometer Guess: 78%. After a 12-year Hiatus, the eponymous Gorilla returns to the big screen in what looks like Apocalypse Now with Dinosaurs and Apes. Actual Score: 78%. Kong: Skull Island is an entertaining dumb fun monster movie with great effects and action. The characters and story are a mixed bag, but the movie delivers where it counts."
