Logan (2017)
Tomatometer Guess: 90%. Hugh Jackman's 9th and final portrayal as Wolverine is sure to be another great entry in Fox's X-Men franchise as well as a bittersweet sendoff for the eponymous character.
Actual Score: 94%. Logan, simply put, is brilliant. It has top notch acting from all of the cast members (Most surprisingly the young girl who plays X-23), a great western like atmosphere, action scenes that are both exciting and brutal to watch, and has an underlying sense of heart that helps it stand on its own as a film.
Uncompromisingly brutal, yet poignant, Logan is a perfect Swan Song for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and a perfect showcase of what the superhero genre is capable of.

Kong: Skull Island (2017)
Tomatometer Guess: 78%. After a 12-year Hiatus, the eponymous Gorilla returns to the big screen in what looks like Apocalypse Now with Dinosaurs and Apes.
Actual Score: 78%. Kong: Skull Island is an entertaining dumb fun monster movie with great effects and action. The characters and story are a mixed bag, but the movie delivers where it counts.

JWR's rating:
Beauty and the Beast (2017)
Tomatometer Guess: 74%. After finding huge success with 2015's Cinderella and last year's the Jungle Book, Disney returns with yet another live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast.
Actual Score: 71%. The best word to describe "Beauty and The Beast" is fine. It's brought down by unnecessary new songs and odd pacing, but the acting is solid, the casting is good, and it's pretty harmless overall.

Power Rangers (2017)
Tomatometer Guess: 57%.
Actual Score: 47%. I doubt I'll be revisiting 2017's Power Rangers anytime soon, but for what it is, it's not awful. The acting is surprisingly decent, the characters have decent banter, and the action isn't half bad either. I say give it a watch.

JWR's rating:
Life (2017)
Tomatometer Guess: 65%. This Sci-Fi Horror film which clearly draws inspiration from 1979's Alien was written by Deadpool scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and sees a group of astronauts under attacked by the first documented life in outer space.
Actual Score: 63%. Life is a well-acted, surprisingly realistic and suspenseful sci-fi horror film that is worth watching. Even if the second half isn't as good as the first.

JWR's rating:
Ghost in the Shell (2017)
Tomatometer Guess: 50%. This live-action adaptation of the popular and influential 1995 Anime of the same name has stirred up some controversy, due to the casting of Scarlett Johannson in the lead role. Will it prove to be worth it?
Actual Score: 50%. Ghost In The Shell is a visually stunning and faithful adaptation of the Anime of the same name. However, it's devout faithfulness to the original to the book is both it's greatest strength and its greatest weakness.

JWR's rating:
The Boss Baby (2017)
Tomatometer Guess: 40%. Will this movie be better and mature than it's lackluster trailers made it out to be, or will it stink worse than a dirty diaper?
Actual Score: 52%. While The Boss Baby is far from terrible, it's still a subpar effort from DreamWorks with an EXTREMELY thin premise, an incoherent storyline, and jokes gags that reek of desperation worse than a pail full of dirty diapers.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend watching this movie if you're above the age of 5. If you have very young kids, they *might* get enjoyment out of this, and even then, I doubt it will leave any sort of lasting impression.

JWR's rating:
Smurfs: The Lost Village (2017)
Tomatometer Guess: 62%. Though it probably won't be remarkable, Smurfs: The Lost Village already looks way better than the two live action Smurfs movies.
Actual Score: 39%. Smurfs: The Lost Village is much better than the live-action movies (Not that that was a difficult bar to clear.)and is an average harmless animated feature. No more, no less.

JWR's rating:
The Fate of the Furious (2017)
Tomatometer Guess: 78%. Never in a million years did I think that the Fast & Furious franchise would not only last 8 movies, but would actually get better with each one, yet here we are.
Actual Score: 67%. While it's not quite as good as 7, Fate of the Furious is never the less a fun and entertaining installment in the series.

Actual Score: 67%. Free Fire is a well shot and hilarious (if a bit outlandish) film with extremely competent action.

JWR's rating:
Tomatometer Guess: 70%.
Actual Score: 16%. The Circle is a disappointing effort all around. The admittedly original plot is ruined by a laughable execution, the editing is amateurish, and the pacing is sluggish.
