The Girl with All the Gifts is an effective independent thriller with solid storytelling, quality direction, and a set of strong performers doing excellent work. Newcomer Sennia Nanua, in particular, really lights-up the screen in a breakout role. It does lose steam towards the end, but not enough to deflate the picture. The Good & The Bad - Movies Watched In 2017 (472 movies items)"A good refreshing take on the zombie genre set in a post apocalyptic Britain. The country has been infected by a fungal virus which has turned most of the population into zombies nicknamed Hungries. Humanity is now relying on a second generation of hybrid children, that can still think and learn, especially one special girl called Melanie. The movie is well directed and acted. The story is clever and thought provoking with an absolutely banger of an ending. It's also got plenty of zombie action,"
