"First viewing - Sept. 8th I have no idea how Selah and the Spades got put on my radar exactly. I suspect it was probably on someone's best of 2020 lists, though having seen it I'm questioning whether that's the case. The film is kind of a mess really. I'll grant that the cast is decent and it held my attention, and the story takes a different approach. There's definitely some artistic merit here too. But when it ended I was like, really? That's it? I felt it failed to get its point across very "
