"First viewing - April 13th So I avoided most of the trailers for this remake, and thus went into it as blindly as possible. Given that it was directed by the team that gave us the excellent Starry Eyes I’d hoped it would be worthwhile. Add to that the fact that I really enjoyed the book when I read it in high school as well as the original adaptation, and it seemed like this could be a good time. Yeah, not so much. I’ll give them credit for opting to do something different with the story ra"
"4.5. 2019 This remake of an old 80s horror film is pretty much everything you'd expect it to be. The original film by Mary Lambert was so lousy and clumsily made that I expected nothing and that's exactly what I got. Special effects are better than in the original, like they should be, and actors aren't especially bad. Still, all in all this film is a cliché-ridden mess and it's only impressive for those viewers who are completely ignorant about horror genre."
"2019-04-09 @AMC Portage 10 Theater 7, seat E4 via A-List Mish-mashed story, including characters that don't seem relevant to the main story and aren't ever really resolved. Predictable, but with really dumb characters. Meh. 6/10"
"Dr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his neighbour Judd Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unspeakable evil with horrific consequences. Suspenseful and creepy, Pet Sematary is a worthy adaptation of Stephen King's novel and is considerably better made than the date"
" Date: 4/13/2019 Viewed: In Theaters First Viewing Note: A surprisingly good movie. The movie did changes that I was not too crazy about, but I still felt like it was a solid movie. The acting was very good and I really like the atmosphere that this movie had. I still like the original a bit more, but I still recommend this movie."
" Directed by: Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmeyer Produced by: Lorenzo di Bonventura, Mark Moran, Steven Schneider, and Mark Vahradian Written by: Matt Greenberg and Jeff Buhler Based on the novel by: Stephen King Cinematography: Laurie Rose Edited by: Sarah Brossard Music by: Christopher Young Distributed by: Paramount Pictures"
" Basedon the novel from 1983. This new version of PET SEMATARY is everything I wanted, but ultimately didn't get, from the 2017 rendition of Stephen King's IT. It's genuinely frightening. It's dark, bleak, mean, disgusting, slightly depressing and with a fully realized sense of hopelessness. It is exactly what a film about grief turning bad should be about and it's everything I want in a horror film."
