"22.12. 2023 "News from Home" is mostly compiled of static shots showing us what New York looked like in the '70s. Once in a while we can hear Chantal Akerman reading letters her mother wrote to her, but often noises of the city disrupt Akerman's voice so that nothing can be heard, like messages in the letters aren't that important. "News from Home" is very subjective work of art and it is probably more interesting to its director than it is to anyone else."
