" Mountains May Depart would be higher on this list, however I found the last third of this film to be such a jarring shift in style, mood and story. I understand this was intentional, but I honestly wish the film had just stuck with the strong sense of understated beauty that it had had up until that point. I also wasn't too fond of the teenage son's performance. By all means still a beautiful film, and worth seeing based on the lead actress's performance alone."
