"2.10. Blu-ray Uusintakatselu. Director's cut Tokalla kerralla ei enää osannut hukassa olevat amerikkalaisopiskelijat (ei edes se yksi varmasti tarkoituksella ärsyttäväksi tehty hahmo) ärsyttää. Oikeastaan mitään mainittavaa moitittavaa en enää löytänyt. Liki kolmetuntisesta Ari Asterin suosimasta leikkauksesta en varmaksi tunnistanut uutena kohtauksena, kuin yhden, joten en mene takuuseen, tuntuiko tällä kerralla tasapainoisemmalta lisämatskun vai vain uusinnan itsensä tuoma"

"Halsingland, Sweden The place is real, the events fictional. Halsingland is sometimes referred to as Helsingia in English, is a historical province or landskap in central Sweden. It borders Gästrikland, Dalarna, Härjedalen, Medelpad and the Gulf of Bothnia. It is part of the land of Norrland. Why you wouldn’t want to visit: You could potentially be sacrificed, if you’re not careful."
" After making a pretty big splash with his debut fear flick, Hereditary (one of mt favorite movies of 2018), screenwriter/director Ari Aster quickly follows it up with Midsommar. Not as impactful as Hereditary, but just as polarizing between horror genre fans, it's another effort which establishes Aster as a filmmaker with his own unique sense of vision. While on vacation in Sweden, a trouble couple, along with some friends decide to go and participate in a midsummer festival that only occur"

"Format: Streaming Viewing: 1st Thoughts: Holy shit this was a gut punch of a movie. The less you know about it going in the better as it will slowly grip its hands around your neck and never lets go until the end credits roll. I felt like I was watching the Wicker Man directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky! Amazed that movies like this are still being made. This is one that will be talked about for decades to come, like A Clockwork Orange, The Holy Mountain, and other intense cult movies from the 70s."
"First viewing - Director's Cut - Dec. 18th Midsommar was one of my favorite films last year, and I was tempted to catch the Director's Cut when it screened here about a month after I saw it in the theatre. However there were other films to see and its nearly 3 hour runtime made it tough to justify pairing it with something else (oh to have such options now). Thankfully I was able to purchase a copy of the Director's Cut on Blu last month when A24 got it back in stock, so when it finally arrived"
