"Jason Statham takes on a gigantic 75 foot prehistoric shark in this thrilling movie. According to what I've read, the theatrical version isn't what was originally planned and there were more gory deaths supposed to happen but the filmmakers wanted to get the teen audience onboard to see this movie so they re-cut it. It's been a while since there has been a decent shark movie and this one certainly hits the mark. What you'll notice as well is that this movie is very obviously made to grab the Chi"
“To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much from this flick, especially after I watched the trailer which made the whole thing looked really lame. However, Nick, my step-son, was really eager to check it out so I still saw the damned thing in the movie theater when it was released. Well, eventually, I have to admit that it was not so bad at all after all. I mean, sure, it was still nothing groundbreaking but, for a shark movie, it turned out to be actually fairly entertaining. For a giant shark with a beach filled with people, it was a surprisingly low eat count, lessening the terror. It didn't help that they tossed in two tired tropes, a dog and a kid, where they try to get you to bond with them in the 10 seconds you see them so you care about them when they are in"

Spoiler: you don't care.
Also, there is a scene at the climatic end with helicopters that was so ridiculous that it was laughable. Spoiler, no, it had nothing to do with the shark (which is sad.)
That said, there were a number of parts that were (intentionally) funny. But, for the most part, I got to the point where I was” read more
