" Imagine someone doing a remake, but instead of carrying over and improve on what essentially made the original interesting, you strip down on that and instead focus on your own silly stories and themes. I'm not the biggest fan of the original Martyrs, but there's no denying that it was a film that was successfully legitimately hard to watch and that carried well over to its themes, even if it wasn't necessarily as clever as it would like to think. This remake is however just bad on every front"

"21.12, PC Hahmojen pohjustus puuttuu täysin ja näyttely on kuraista valittamista ja huolestuneena oloa, joten tunnesidettä ei synny. Tapahtumat myös ikäänkuin pakotetaan eikä mikään tunnu etenevän ns. omalla painollaan. Tajusinkin sitten vasta elokuvan loputtua ettei tämä ollutkaan se alkuperäinen, ja lähes poikkeuksetta paskempien jenkkiriimeikkien katsominen ennen alkuperäistä vituttaa aina jonkun verran. "
